2024- Spirit of the Awards Winner
Collaboration award Highly Commended.
The museum collaborated with the Goran Men in Sheds group who did the restoration work on a net barrow, previously owned by William Ball, the last full-time fisherman in Gorran Haven. The barrow is displayed on the top floor of the museum.
New Exhibition Highly Commended This was Snooker in Mevagissey and the 1970 World Amateur Champion, Jonathon Barron. This is displayed on the first floor of the museum.
2025
Collaboration award Winner.
The museum collaborated with the local RNLI group, celebrating its 200th anniversary with the Fowey Lifeboat carrying the scroll to Mevagissey for signing. The museum presented a display of artefacts, photos and information regarding the RNLI and joined in with their activities during the day.
New Exhibition Highly Commended.
The exhibition marked the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings with special reference to two Mevagissey men who lost their lives in this operation.
Leader of the Year Highly Commended Jane Morgan, the Chair of the Trustee Board was nominated not only for all her hard work in successfully leading the museum forward with its new roof and entrance but also for her continued dedication and optimism in keeping the museum alive for generations to come.
